I listened to this on a Playaway. I'd seen the movie and don't think I ever knew it was a book.
I enjoyed this. It was exciting and a good science fiction story. I had a hard time deciding what time period this was set in. I thought it may have been the 1950's but there were references that made me think it was set much later. Hmm.
Not much to say about this one. The original movie may have been about hysteria surrounding the red scare or communism. The book was about mass hysteria in general.
As Tommy Lee Jones said in Men in Black, "A person is smart. People are dumb,panicky, dangerous animals..."
