Sammy Keyes and the Sisters of Mercy

by Wendelin Van Draanen
Read March 2009

I've seen these books in the library but never read one. This caught my eye because it involved Sammy, the girl who always finds herself in the middle of a mystery, working off a punishment by helping out at the offices and soup kitchen of a Catholic Church. The Sisters of Mercy are a group of religious sisters who have come to the church to do a fundraiser concert. But something's fishy about these nuns.

This was a cute kids mystery and I enjoyed the Catholic references. I wonder if the other books in the series involve characters from this church.
