Ok, it's not a book. But I wanted to write down my thoughts on some of the screen versions of A Christmas Carol. So, This is What I Saw...
I watched this tonight on YouTube. It's the first film version of A Christmas Carol. Originally five minutes, only about 3:28 survives today and has been released by the British Film Institute.
It's a very abbreviated version of the story with Marley serving as the ghost of Christmas past, present and future. Marley's costume is not very clever, but the scenes from Scrooge's past Christmases is really actually done very well.
